New upgraded card readers are being rolled out by AT. By late 2024 the new card readers on AT buses, trains and ferries are set to accept Apple and Google Pay, debit cards and most credit cards, as well as AT HOP cards. If you qualify for a concession you will still have to use your AT HOP card.
