Transport Minister Simeon Brown has given a commitment to build the Government’s 15 Roads of National Significance, despite some advice suggesting the roads were over budget by as much as $24 billion from consenting. The Government Policy Statement (GPS) on land transport plan covers just 3 years , not the usual 10 year period. A big question for Auckland is who will own ( and pay for) the City Rail Link.
