Europe’s growing use of animal fats to power its cars and planes is becoming increasingly unsustainable. There are calls for greater transparency so that consumers know what is filling their tanks and fuelling their flights. A recent Transport & Environment report states that " For years we’ve been burning animal fats in cars without drivers knowing" It is estimated that a flight from Paris to NY would need 8,800 dead pigs!
