| | Free ferry service extended After successful trials, the Red Boats ferry service will now operate 7 days a week connecting Wynyard Quarter to the CBD. The service will run from 7am until 9pm Sunday to Wednesday and 7am until 10pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Foot passengers and wheelchair users only - no bikes or e-scooters. The ferry service remains free and will be in place until the Wynyard Crossing Bridge is back in operation. | | |

Bus services can be seen on this animated PT map. Walking and cycling is easy, but you will need to go via Viaduct Harbour Avenue, so allow extra time for your journey. | | Temporary floating pontoon option off the table? The floating pontoon option, proposed by Fu Wah and supported by local businesses has been discounted by the Eke Panuku Board. Extensive investigations have been undertaken but Eke Panuku now favour the more "cost effective" approach of extending the free ferry service. | | Tidal steps swim zone As part of the Mayor’s vision to open up the waterfront, a new area will be available for public swimming this summer. The Karanga Plaza Tidal Steps will undergo a number of improvements and home a multipurpose swimming area and jumping platform. Changing sheds, showers, and lockers will also be provided. Construction is due to start in August with swimming due to start from late November. | | |

| | $50 fare cap for public transport AT have introduced a $50 fare cap for public transport users in Auckland. This means fares on AT buses, trains, inner harbour ferries and AT Local will be capped at $50 over 7 days. The fare cap applies to bus, train and inner-harbour ferry services. Inner-harbour ferry services include Devonport, Bayswater, Birkenhead and Te Onewa Northcote Point. You must tag on and off with a valid HOP. Once you've reached the $50 cap, all trips will be free travel until the 7 day period ends. | | |

| | Give your staff a cheaper commute Fareshare is a scheme where employers can subsidise their staff’s public transport costs to and from work. Once Fareshare is loaded onto the AT HOP cards, commuters are charged a discounted rate on eligible journeys. The employer, pays the difference, which gets billed monthly. Employers choose the level of discount they want to offer from 25 - 75%. Subsidised PT via Fareshare is exempt from fringe benefit tax.
